Bike Caddy - Sneak peek for Portineer
Newsletter Subscribers
We announced earlier this year that we were developing a bicycle stand for transporting a bicycle inside a vehicle. Our first conceptual design called TRANSPOSER was introduced. Based on the feedback we received, the decision was made to approach the product another way. Below are the highlights of the new design called the Bike Caddy. Please let us know what you think at tteague@portineer.com.

Simple Design

The new design incorporates a rail and a L bracket with two straps to hold the bike at various angles as needed.
A double wheel at the end allows the Bike Caddy to be rolled as needed.
The unit can be easily taken apart for storage.
Patent pending
Easy to Use
Installing a bike on the Bike Caddy is done by putting the bike wheels in the rail and attaching the upper and lower straps to the seat. The angle of the bike is determined by the upper strap.
Double Wheel Design
Double wheels on the end of the Bike Caddy allow the user to roll the Bike Caddy with the bike installed and prevent damage to the car's interior.
Protects the Bike During Transport
Bike Caddy with bike in an SUV. Using the Bike Caddy instead of just putting a bike in the car keeps the bike from resting on components and is more stable.
More Room for Other Cargo
Using the Bike Caddy instead of just laying the bike in the car frees up more room for other cargo or another bike, if the vehicle is large enough.
Easier to Load Your Bike in the Car
After the bike is installed on the Bike Caddy, loading a bike in the car a breeze. Just lift the back end of the bike into the car, then lift the front and roll it in. Especially useful for heavier bikes like E-bikes.
